XM Radio and Axcess TV
Has anyone tried either/both of these? They seem pretty pricey, and it doesn't seem like they'd work too well since alltel's data speed and web services aren't blazing fast? Are these worth the money?

I haven't personaly used them, but depending on ones location it should work good. Alltel has EVDO now which gives one near broadband speads. So if you are in the right area, it should work good. AS for worth the money, I would say that would also depend on how much you think you would use if. For example, if you are going to use it once a month, then no, it wouldn't be. But if you are going to use it several times a month, then yes, it would be.
