Old Alltel unlimited plan

I have the old original unlimited Alltel plan I started about 10 years ago. It has since been discontinued. I pay $59.99 to call unlimited in my area code only- 417, which is where I make almost all my calls. An Alltel rep told me I would get better reception and the towers/ wavelenths would be used differently if I switched to the $39.99 National Freedom plan. Does anyone know if this is true or is this unlimited plan a bargain I should keep and be able to add internet and have it unlimited? I use aound 1000 minutes/month but would use much more if I added internet.

They probley won't allow you to add a data or a browser option on that plan. My wife went to the 59.95 nationwide (900 anytime) plan and with the my circle its surprising how her minute use dropped and has never used over 230 minutes of the 900, and she used to use several thousand a month on the old plan.
