Tentative Alltel customer wants to opt-out of TMobile?

I spoke with a possible new customer today- he has T-Mobile and is disgusted with the service he is getting, and he has been treated poorly every time he tries to get any sort of assistance from any TMobile employee he has spoken to.

He still has over a year left in his contract and doesnt want to pay the deactivation fee. I did explain to him that he signed a contract and it was more than likely that he would have to pay it, but I was curious if there were any tricks to TMobile and getting out of a contract. If so, what to say, do, and who to speak with.

Understandably I wont be upset with the 3489059874 replies I get saying that he cant, its called a contract. He knows this, he just wants to try.

The customer just needs to say that the phone does not work in the area you have the phone also tell them the phone doesnt work. Sometime if you say it enough times the company will let you out of the contract.

Megan-

Does the customer have unlimited text? Or pay per message?

he has pay per text, he doesnt use text messaging much. What would that have to do with anything though? Is there some way to get out of it with unlimited texting?

Yeah he can get out of it due to that fact that he is on a pay per use text plan. Go on boy genius and go to the article on how to get out of a contract tmobile style. Its all in there and I have personally done this and it works. If you have more questions let me know. I hope that this helps

boygenius.com is the site? I'll read up on that and let you know if I have any questions.

Does boygenius have any other articles about other carriers? Cause I have a few customers from Centennial and one from AT&T who want to do the same thing.

Do you really want a customer for your company that can't abide by a contract?

I can't wait for the day that phone companies don't have contracts. Until then, they do so to remain profitable. It's not wise to encourage behavior that such a customer may one day use against your own company.
