Software UPdate LG Glmmer

I have the glimmer I am trying to do the software update from the phone but it keeps telling me it cant connect is there a possible reason for this or is it just not possible to do this

I also have an LG Glimmer and mine would not let me update OTA. I took it to a retail store and they did the software update. It still has ascending ringer but gets louder much more quickly.
