Cleveland OH market
Will Alltel/VZW keep the towers here or will they be divested to other carriers. Alltel has always been the best coverage for our entire family. Does anyone know. Also, we are do for an upgrade with Alltel keep my circle or will it immediately disapper. Even if we lock in for 2yrs what does that look like.

Verizon is divesting the Alltel network. So whoever picks up Cleveland is who you'll end up with. Since My Circle can be eliminated at anytime, the new carrier could eliminate immediately, but you'd still have to honor your contract, unless something else gets changed that would allow you out of your contract ETF free. alltel towers will go to att and sprint in NE OHIO.....Verizon will swtich everyone to VZW plans, prices will go up..

HOw would you know that because it hasnt gone to court yet. I believe I am in the yellow on the map too.
I' am in lake county so I am not sure if we are actually in the divested area or the 22 trust areas.
In any event I have to follow the Alltel tower because it is the only service that works in my home.
I dont believe anyone knows who will be set aside in a trust if that will even happen. No one knows for sure until it goes to court.
if anyone knows if lake county ohio is in the trust area or divested can someone let me know please

If Alltel has a PCS network in Ohio, then Sprint will consider buying it, as they only like higher band frequencies.
As for VZW, while they don't have to honor My Circle (as it's not part of the contract), they have to honor everything else in the contracts, or let Alltel customers out of their contracts. Alltel customers already out of contract won't be protected, as changes can be changed to their plan.
