upcoming sony phones 2013

It's not the top of the Xperia tree, but the http://top7mobiles.com/latestmobiles/upcoming -sony-phones-2013 Xperia XP makes a good impression as a more than capable midrange Android with some nifty features.

As the name suggests, Sony has more or less combined the best bits of the Xperia S and the Xperia P to produce the SP (see what they did there?). The SP comes in below the Xperia Z in Sony's current canon, with reduced specs in almost every area, though it makes a pretty good impression with what it has.

Problem with voicemail notification with MetroPCS Coolpad 4G Quattro

My MetroPCS Coolpad 4G Quattro doesn't show that I have new voicemail messages if those messages come in while the phone is turned off. I turn the phone on, and the voicemail indicator symbol doesn't appear, but if I check my voicemail, there are unheard messages. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

95% of sold android phones are Samsung phones

This is really a incredible news.
Samsung captured a staggering 95 percent of the $5.3 billion in Android smartphone profits in the first quarter of 2013, according to a new report from Strategy Analytics.
I remember saw the news somewhere that said Android owns 70.1% of smartphone market share. Then It now we can conclude that Samsung own more than 66.5% of smartphone market share.

Why Facebook Home fail at Android Device?

I think Facebook Home is failed. As it only get 1 million downloads since launching a month ago.
I saw a news which said why Facebook Home failed is because Facebook's iPhone culture builds an overzealous home on android. Which means Facebook Home's employeers don't completely understand Android system. They don't know what android users need and want. The iphone users don't feel any wrongs about the Facebook Home.

Nexus 4 Vs. CAT B15

I currently have the Nexus 4 on T-Mobile and I am generally pretty satisfied with the Nexus 4. However, I do some fairly risky activities as far as cell phones go. For example, I love to go horseback riding and ATVing. I do have a Ballistic case, do I still worry. Thus, I am consdiering handing down the Nexus 4 to my wife or oldest son and switching to a CAT B15. I am just wondering what I will lose by switching. Will apps be slower to load due to a slower processor? Will I still get HSPA+ or would I only get 3G or3G on T-Mobile?

Jellybean Update recommended for G S II

For those out there who have a Samsung Galaxy S II do you recommend doing the update to the latest Android OS? Awhile back several in this and other PS forums advised against my doing the upgrade because of crashing issues but my phone is starting to act really funky on 2.3.6 and the T-Mobile rep said I really need to do the upgrade. Thoughts? Recommendations? Suggestions?

Also, does anyone know if have a security program installed (i.e., Bitdefender, Lookout, etc.,) causes a problem and should be uninstalled before attempting the upgrade?

Finally, in general how long does the upgrade take via Kies?

warp sequent experience

I purchased this phone, intending to mainly use it as a secondary device. after first few day it had become my primary device.. this shift could be mainly attributed to the software(hardware and design are decent).. the android on this device is the closest you get to vanilla version outside the nexus range... there are a few bloatware which can be easily ignored.. the app icons are largely untouched, so is the app drawer and other software elements..

Troubles with Syncing Google + Photos: AT&T, Samsung, and Google can't help

Hello,

AT&T recommended that I post my issue here since both Samsung and Google were unable to help me resolve this. I'll try to be brief, but please let me know if you have additional questions.

Carrier: AT&T
Device: Samsung Note
OS: Android

So about a month ago I was experiencing device issues and AT&T did a master data reset on my Note. When I set my phone back up with my gmail account, everything synced back in: contacts, photos, etc.

Now a month later, the device needs to be replaced via warranty because old issues have resurfaced. Upon receiving my replacement device yesterday, I set my gmail account up and things began to sync. Except when I went to my gallery, none of my folders were there that came in a month ago wit...

Who’s Winning, iOS or Android?

Who’s winning the mobile platform wars, Apple’s iOS or Google’s Android?
Android sells more smartphones than apple. But Apple is making more money by sellying smartphone than Android.

Foxconn parent Hon Hai to pay Microsoft royalties on every Android and Chrome device sold

Well how’s this? Microsoft not only makes money on every Windows Phone that it sells, but is also able to fill in its pockets on the sale of every Android or Chrome device too. Google may market Android as free, but more often than not manufacturers end up paying royalties to Microsoft for using their patents in the OS. The latest to sign such a pact with Microsoft is Foxconn’s parent Hon Hai. The company will pay a fixed amount to Microsoft on every Android and Chrome device that ships out of its factories.

Chat Heads

ANNOYING!

They are just way too intrusive, I just updated Facebook messenger this morning. Have to play a little bit with it to see if I can disable them.
It would be way nicer if they automatically arranged on the upper part of the screen instead and they were a bit smaller.

launchers?

I want a unique launcher, something that has a Holo influence and is easily customized.

I don't like Go launcher, launcher pro, apex launcher, but I like listener launched but it wasn't customizable enough.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
