I wanna root my G1, how do I do that?

Just curious how many people tried out this app.

I REALLY like it, and the only thing keeping me from buying it is that it doesn't sync with google talk/facebook.

If they could make it so it would take over one main "screen" and leave the other homescreens intact, it would be perfect IMO. I love how it displays data, but I use things like Talk and Pandora too much to make it default home screen.

I don't know what is to blame, Android of T-Mobile's version of it. However, I just tried one of these things, and this particular mix definitely fails.

The menu is just a big unorganized mess. The entire user interface is pretty, but not especially helpful. I would rather have a simple old vertical text menu, not different screen designs for everything.

It can't run Java applications. The phone tells me it doesn't support them. I guess I am now in an Apple-ish world where the phone only supports stuff from the official marketplace.

The web browser is not especially good. It's slow, which might be just due to the MyTouch hardware. Using Opera Mini on the T-Mobile Tap or Highlight is much better than the MyTouch's native brows...

I like the upcoming x10 phone, but want to know if it will be easy to upgrade the android os it comes with to the latest version of android?

can anyone please tell me where on the phone to find the actual minutes of talk time that the customer has ran up on the phone before I can figure out if I need to process it as a warranty or DOA?!?! She is complaining of feedback noise while she is talking. Even if it is just listening to her voicemails. It comes and goes, doesn't do it all the time. Has anyone else had this issue?

Are there different distros of Linux that can be either flashed or put on mobile phones. I know the razor phone had a version of Linux on it (not the same as Android)

I am a Linux enthusiast.

The calendar that comes with Samsung Moment doesn't seem to support multiple google calendars...unless I'm missing something. So let's say you have a personal and work calendar on Google Cal. When adding a new event, you have no way to specify which Calendar it should go in--work or personal. You can view both calendars but when adding a new event, it's not possible to specify. Am I missing something?

This thing has a huge 5inch screen!!! And 5mp camera with dual led flash. The onscreen keyboard seems to have well spaced buttons.

I just got a google phone, and whenever I've gotten a new phone in the past, I transfer photos, songs and ring tones via bluetooth. I'm having trouble doing this w/ my google phone. Am I doing it wrong or does this phone not exchange info that way?

i just recently got my g1 and can't tell you how much i love this phone. was an avid berry user, and a sidekick user years before that.

g1 trumps them all. doesn't trump the iphone completely, but definitely kicks the iphone in the knees.

so mytouch (g2) will not have a physical keyboard. i think i'll stay with g1.

Hi. I have formed an app test group by posting on several forums. The idea is that a large group of testers can review andriod apps before they are released commercially.
