I bought a Samsung Sync a while back. Every time I turn the phone on/off there's a swoosh sound which gets a bit irritating after a while. If anyone knows how to turn that sound off can you please tell me, step by step? 😕

All AT&T Mobility 3G phones have that sound when turned on or off. Some phones, including my Nokia 6555, allow you to turn the sounds on or off under Phone Settings. These settings under Sound Settings/Phone Sounds for the Samsung might help you:
Power On Type: allows you to select what tone is played when the phone is
powered On. Options include a Melody, Vibration, Vibration & Melody, or Mute.
Power Off Type: allows you to select what tone is played when the phone is
powered Off. Options include a Melody, Vibration, Vibration & Melody, or Mute.
Remember to save the settings to your current profile to make them persist past the current power on cycle.
