Samsung u740 calendar issues...

I use a calendar on my cell phone ALL THE TIME but I have had the most issues with the Samsung 740. It will randomly choose one or two entries and send reminders every few minutes. The most annoying thing is that the entry is FROZEN on the phone and you cannot delete it from the phone. The ONLY option is to erase the ENTIRE calendar.
I have had 3 different phones in this model. Taken back for various reasons. They ALL have done the same thing! But when I tell the Verizon people...they just give me another phone! I want to know how to fix it!
I like mostly everything else about the phone.
