Never a speakerphone on a samsung!!!
can someone tell me why the hell only 1 in a hundred samsung phones are equipped with a speakerphone??? i mean there are so many kick ass samsungs, but they dont have speakerphones!!!! 😡

I have to agree. I like Samsung phones, but the one thing that consistently disappoints me about them is how Samsung just does NOT believe in speakerphones.
Its just rather stupid, design-wise. I had a speakerphone with my old Audiovox, and its the one thing I really liked about that phone. Get put on hold? No problem, switch to speakerphone and do something else for awhile. Want to check a lot of messages all at once? No prob, you can do that and still do other things at the same time since the phone isn't glued to your head. And a speakerphone is safer for driving- two hands on the wheel.

I really hope that this evdo version of the a700, the 940 will have it. It may make me stay with samsung for the 4th phone in a row instead of switching to sanyo's

The x495 has speakerphone and lacks a camera, if that's what you're interested in.

I think all US Samsung phones will have speakerphone now. Took a while but it's here and on all carriers too. All future planned phones have speakerphone and the latest releases too.

Hey, why are there so many heats about this topic? Samsung is my favourite and I will always like it. If you don't like it, why not just go somewhere to have your better choice? It is easier than complaining it.

Actually, complaining can be a positive thing.
If ya notice, the first comments complainin' 'bout Samsung havin' no speakerphones were written almost a year ago.
Now, just recently, I notice a lot mo' of Samsung's new releases havin' speakerphones. So hey, maybe complainin' DOES help, if you got a company that actually listens. Looks like Samsung does.
