Nokia 6225i - Assigning mp3 as ringtone for a contact?
Hi,
Just got the Nokia 6255i from Alltel. Very happy with the phone but I can't figure out how to assign part of an mp3 I transfered to the phone. I want to assign it as a ring tone for one of my specific contacts.
I've figured out and understand how to make the mp3 the default ringtone for the phone, BUT I don't see a way to make the mp3 the ring tone for a specific contact in my phone book.
Any ideas?

Just make a recording using the recorder, then open the file "recordings" find the one you just made and then press options, then select "set as ringtone". It will be used on all the incoming calls. However you can make it for a specific group of people in your directory. Unfortunately, I have not find how to set it as individual ringtone for individual persons on my directory.

3585, 3586, 3587, 6225, 6585, 6015 are all the same. Individual contacts cannot be assigned a ringtone from the gallery. If you can find a way to dump ringtones into the "canned" ringtones area, then you'll be able to assign them as an individual ringer.
It's not a 6255i issue, it's a CDMA Nokia issue.
