Low earpiece volume in Motorola phones... How big a problem?
Hello all,
I have been waiting for the RAZR V3 & V551 to be released but I have starting to have some reservations about Motorola phones.
When I read thru the various forums on Phonescoop for specific Moto cell phones, like the V710, V505, etc. I keep seeing over & over again people complaing about low earpiece volumes in Motorola phones in general...
What is this forum's thoughts on this? How big a problem is it? On the V710 forum they complained about it endlessly, and I have seen it crop up in many other forums regarding Moto phones, not just the V710, but many others as well...
It almost seems like Motorola has a history of this... Is that true?

the Moto's I've had experience with have all seemed to have one thing in common. The earpiece is designed such that it's quite easy to hold it against your ear, like you think it should be held, and actually be placing the speaker in the wrong spot so that the sound is being channelled into the side of your head instead of your ear. Other than this I can't complain too much, once ya get tha holding part down you're pretty good. It's not as loud as say a cordless landline phone, but then that speaker's much larger too.
I could do with a louder ringer though, I can never seem to hear it when I'm in the car. Even with the radio turned down being in my pocket just muffles it too much to hear clearly. I solve that by using vibrate when I'...
