Does anyone know if Motorola will ever put a smartphone OS in the Razr. I've been lugging around a Treo and want to get back to a small flip style, so not really interested in the Q. I occasionally switch back and forth with my MPX220, but the faulty charging socket makes it a pain to use.

I wish. Don't need all the bells and whistles of a smartphone--a complete pda--but do want the basics. Phone book, addresses, attached notes, calender with real appointment info. The smartphones all have limitations and they reset, hang up and compromise features but I think putting the 3 basic pda functions on cell phones needs to be done. We aren't all kids who delight in changing the wallpaper, adding themes, have 100s of ringtones and pictures. The option to do these things is ok but all the energy is put into these extras and not into the basic functions an adult needs.
