Treo 680 mail

I just got a Treo 680 and i got everything to work except the email...i have it set up identical to my 650 but it can't keep a connection...can anyone help???

have u set up the auto sync and frequency feature in prefences?

Yes I have all that set up, just can't get the mail to connect
