Samsung Galaxy Stellar Earns Its Jelly Bean Update
Verizon Wireless today said that the Samsung Galaxy Stellar will be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean beginning March 4. The update will be pushed out in phases, though it can also be downloaded manually starting Monday afternoon.
Verizon Adds the Samsung Stellar to Its Device Roster
Verizon Wireless today announced the Samsung Galaxy Stellar, a mid-range Android smartphone that includes a 4-inch WVGA display. The Stellar is what Samsung calls Samsung Approved For Enterprise, or SAFE, which means it has features businesses like, including 256-bit encryption, and support for VPNs (virtual private networks), mobile device management systems, and additional Microsoft Exchange features. The Stellar runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 3.2-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel user-facing camera, microSD card support up to 32GB, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The Stellar with be available online and in stores startin September 6. It will be free after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year agreement.
