i've been using the "tmp method" for getting ringtones, but it doesn't seem to be a way to erase them. anybody know how to delete them, or if they're able to be deleted?
...
to get rid of the rings tones, go to get it now and pick music and tones and then go to your music and pick the option and you can erase then there if I am right. I know I was able to get rid of music I downloaded on the card and onto the phone that way and my pictures too.
Hope that helps.

how do you load music to the card and then play on the phone thanks

I remove the card and use a card reader, then I drag mp3's and (only unprotected) AAC's to the "my music" folder on the card. Once again, I am on a Mac, if you are on a PC, you might have to do it differently.

T thanks but what's unprotected

...
sorry to bother you but what was TMP's method of getting music and ringtones on the phone?
...
also do you have to have internet access on the phone to send an email or can you just send a txt?
...
the method i used was:
(by the way, thanx tmp)
take a picture with the phone and send a picture message to an email address. you don't have to have internet on the phone, just type in the email address where you would normally put in the phone number. i used my yahoo email because for some reason it doesn't work with aol. open the email, click reply, attach the mp3 that you want to use as a ringtone, and send it back to the phone. don't rename it to .mid or anything else, leave it as an mp3. when you get the message on your phone, press "options" (on the right) then "save sound" and the ringtone should be in "my ringtones". works like a charm, and depending on the size of the mp3, i sometimes put 2 in one email. i haven't put full ...

great.. i'll try it tonight, again thanks for the detailed instruction. I tried to use gmail, emailed myself to my cellnumber plus vznpix.com or something like that and the song was in the form of a text message. After I downloaded the text onto the phone it started playing. Once I tried to save it , it only put it into my sounds, but it will not let me set it as a ringtone. I'll try your way too. Also when I sent it, it was a mp3 but when I recieved it in my phone it converted it to a qcp.
...
yeah.. I tried tmp way and the instructions vzwnflnsc gave me but it still saved it into my sounds. From my sounds, i can't get it to be a ringtone.
...
are sure you are using mp3 if not it will not work
...
yeah i'm sure... I just looked at it again under the properties.
...
i'll try to put a smaller song nextime. maybe that is the reason.

craig333, i got the same problem when i used the "tmp" method. i thought i could just email my phone number and vzwpix.com with the mp3 ringtone but it does not work that way. the trick is that you have to send a message from your phone to your email account then reply directly to that message with the mp3 attached. after its on your phone then just save it and it should show up in your "my ringtones". hope that helps.
