No Gmail?!
I've tried everyway I can think of to get the gmail mobile app to work on my phone with no luck. Nokia's site says it's not compatbile with any of the newer Nokia phones because it's a third party app and they can't be sure of the software.
Anyone have a fix for this on a 6133 or another newer model Nokia?

It's not the phone...it's T-mobile. You can't get G-Mail or Google Maps on ANY of their phones. Their software does not allow it. Your best bet would be to buy an unlocked cell phone and use it with your service. Then the applications would work.

When I owned the 6133, I had a problem accessing my Gmail too. It kept saying something about cookies, I'd allow cookies, but it still would never work. Works fine on my 6103...I really like the idea of the 5300, but not if I can't get Gmail on it...all my email goes to my Gmail acct. 😡

Actually that's not entirely true. I can get the Gmail Mobile App to work on my Pearl and my t809.
If you look on Nokia's website it says right on it that their newer phones do not support the Gmail mobile app because it is a 3rd party app and they cannot guarantee it. It also says that installing such an application can void the warranty on the phone. Such is life I guess.
While I agree that T-Mobile does tweak their phones quite a bit, look at the t809 vs the unlocked samsung version. Most of them will install the Gmail Mobile App and it will work as long as you have the correct data plan on your account. The basic t-zones feature doesn't work you usually need to have the internet add-on plan or the blackberry plan.
