BlackBerry Pearl 8100

I work for Cingular and we should get the Pearl in the next 2 months (I think it may be called "The Stealth" with Cingular though)

My question is this, I am currently using a 7130c and one thing that has alway annoyed me about the blackberry is the lack of a "vibrate and ring at the same time" function. Does the Pearl have this? It may be a deal-breaker.

I read that I would be able to view maps online with this phone, but my question is in regards to a navigation system.

I know I can purchase additional software to turn my PDA into a navigation device similar to those found in luxury cars to tell me exactly when to turn is which direction.

Does anyone know of software like this for a BlackBerry?

Anybody having problems with the signal indicator changing to "SOS" while in a high signal strength area?

hardly any of my friends have cingular and the ones that do def don't have push to talk. What other phones have it.

I have figured out how to pair the headphones with the pearl as a hands free headset, yet the pearl continues to play the mp3's through it's main speakers. Did I just waste 100 dollars on headphones?

Does anyone know if Sprint will ever gt this phone or something similar????

This phone is now available on Cingular. And yeah,, the Cingular version has PTT and it's phenomenal!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone is having a problem with dropped calls? This is the only phone I am having trouble with at work with loosing the signal. I have a sidekick 2 and they are known for bad signal and it doesn't drop calls. Does anyone else have this problem? I really love this phone but this is a problem, Please reply! 🙂

I was wondering if its possible (and if it, how do you do it) to set a password to the media card. I want it so whenever you try and access it, it requires a password. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, so I am all jazzed about this phone. I linked my gmail acct and i am loving it. The only issue I have is that when I get an email to my sync acct. I also get a text message in my messages folder. And when I send a message from my gmail acct. from the phone or even online it sends the "sent" message to my messages folder. I have searched high and low through the phone trying to find a way to make this stop. If anyone knows how to make this stop I would greatly appreciate it. It has annoyed me so much that I have downloaded the gmail for mobile devices and will use this until I find a way to make all these sent messages stop.

Now on Cingular web site for $199 w/2 yr sign up.

I currently have a BB 7280 running v3.7 I've recently bought a pearl, and im trying to find the best way to get my data from one to the other. (by hand, my schedule alone woould take a week)

I know i could do this by syncing both devices with outlook, but im wondering if there's a better way. Can i make a backup file on the 7280, and restore it to the pearl?

Does the Pearl allow sending/recieving of files over the bluetooth connection?

or is it blocked for voice only like the others?

im thinking either the pearl or the 8525 for Cingular but i know you can only recieve files through bluetooth with WinBLOWS OS phones.

I can't find it anywhere...which is probably a bad sign. I had a few phones in the past that had the option of 2 lines on one phone/sim card. Does the pearl (or any other blackberry for that matter) have this capability??

I think it was some of the nextel motorola phones i remember having this fyi. If it matters I am with cingular but unlocked is an options if that helps.

What if i bought the blackberry pearl from, lets say Ebay...could i go to a verizon store and activate it there and use it with verizon?
