Nokia N75

I will not take credit for this, but here is a picture of the N75 box. Could the delay be for rebranding to AT&T?

i was waiting on the 6126 from last summer, and got let down. then it just appeared, alomost a year later. meanwhile, the promise of the n75 came along and i forgot about the 6126. then joe - and others promised it for yesterday and before. still no n75. so yesterday i went and got my wife the 6126. i am REALLY tempted to get one today, but i am trying to be a bit more patient for the n75. but for tose that haven't checked it out, the 6126 is hot! my wife has already taken over my 1gb micro sd chip and keeps showing off her new mp3 player! (and she says, oh yea, it's a phone too).

will the n75 get cancelled and then suddenly appear out of nowhere next year too!?

Well not the best of word on a release date but it is something. Talking to a Cingy back office person today and was told the N75 is planned for a release 2nd qtr and they should be able to order. They can NOT order it right now for the store but that does not mean it will not be available on Cingular.Com first then stores later.

I just wanted to clarify the comments with the IPhone release and they had a tentative date of mid June for that phone. But NO word on ordering that phone for stores at all.

Looks like it finally is on its way but it may be up to 75 days before we can get our hands on them. What is funny about that is Mobilebee.com says expected delivery 60 days. Does this give us a hint on distribution?

It's almost 6pm saturday and still no sign of the N75. Joe continues to swear it will be released Sunday April 15th. We will see, as we wait post your own feelings and thoughts to if the N75 will finally grace us....more in the next few hours

Look closely at the rebate form. The N75 is listed under the Post Paid Only (Data Devices) section. It is the only device on the list that is not required to sign up on an unlimited data plan in order to get the rebate. Strange considering that it is 3G. You will need an unlimited data plan however Cingular is not requiring it. This is very unCingular. Considering what the phone is capable of you would expect them to require something along the lines of what is required of the Blackjack. Which the rebate form states as:

"+Requires activation on a PDA Personal Plan or a $39.99 or higher unlimited data rate plan or a $19.99 Messaging Xtreme Plan plus a Cingular
Voice Plan of $39.99 or higher."

Its 3G so I don't think they'll let y...

🙂 Just visted the Cingular MEdia Mall site & where you buy wallpaper it has the nokia n75 listed as a phone to choose from. So maybe not too long now????????????????????????????? 😎

knowing cingulars reliability in getting cell phones out on an actual release date, im guessing this phone will be out mid-february, but it will get pushed back to mid-may due to some imaginable "bugs" that cingular makes up.



This person may have been right all along. The "bugs" in this case would be the branding issue that everyone is talking about.

Do not trust Mr. JOSEPH. I'm smelling a classic "bait and switch" here.

Here's the deal:

Pump up a bunch of people waiting and waiting for this phone with vague references to a release date on Cingular.

Due date comes and no phone (of course).

Then, conveniently give an EBAY link to an overpriced, unlocked version trying to capitalize on a frustration-soaked purchase by those poor individuals.

You know what? NO DICE.

I'm a patient man and I will not be ripped off.

My current phone works just fine until the "official" non-ripoff release from Cingular.

DON'T BUY THIS PHONE FROM EBAY AND GET TAKEN!

Just a few questions that may help me decide if I should wait or not or go ahead and get a different phone -- my phone broke yesterday so I really can't wait for long.

How do the ringtones sound? I still haven't found a phone that rings as clear as an mp3 ringtone on a Moto, but maybe this one sounds great.

Is the screen clear? I've heard great things about the screen on the Samsung Sync... is this screen comparable?

Finally, I love how the camera looks but do I need to turn the phone horizontal to take pictures, or can I take them holding the phone vertically?

I know these are really simple things, but I may just keep using my old phone for a little while longer if the N75 does all of these things.

Well....it's approximately 5:00 AM Eastern Standard Time and Cingular has yet to surface the infamous N75.

I hate to be pessimistic, but I'm not feeling the thunder for a release.

However, the day is just starting. So, stranger things have happened (or not happened)!

Since JOSEPH cannot give us even indirect details (no names, but some specifics would be good to legitimize his claims) I say that we are facing another "wash" folks.

I'm not available to upgrade until the end of May, but I'm still disappointed so far.
