EXCELLENT battery life. You would be amazed with the battery life. For the first few times, let the phone die all the way and then charge it. that will make the battery last longer. i use it for phone calls, texts, and some cingular video and it lasts easily two days with me.

I've had my v3xx for exactly one month. I really like the phone, although I was concerned with battery life when it went dead after only 2 hours of talk time the second week I had the phone and was on a business trip.
Does anyone know where you can buy a spare battery, Motorolo type BZ60. Cingular does not sell the battery and it is no where to be found in the US on the web. Help!!!

Go to hellomoto.com, then go to the Shop Moto Store link, then go to the V3xx for Cingular then click on Compatible Products. Scroll all the way down and you will see the standard battery for $39.99.

when you look at the battery on the compatible products page. And, there is no mention of BZ60 nor the 940 strength.

No I haven't ordered a spare but I did notice that message about compatibility. I imagine that they haven't gotten around to specifying this information for the battery. It's likely that most of the other compatible products are pretty standard across the board (bluetooth adapters, chargers, etc.) so they just copy those over to the newest razr in the bunch, but this battery is a bit different so they probably put that generic message there for lack of anything better at the time. However, if you look at the back of your BZ60 battery you will see the alpha/numeric SNN5789B which matches the information that they do provide about the spare you are ordering.

I really do like my v3xx. I went through two v551's in the past and both of them had speakers gone bad.

Yeah, I always run my batteries all the way down for the first 10 or so charges (maybe I'm over-doing it?) then I let it charge at least overnight each time. In other words, not removing it from the charger as soon as it says Charge Complete. After the initial conditioning I try to do that run-down/full-charge at least once a month. This has given me a lot of success with my batteries. My cell is the only phone I have, and I have never had to get replacement batteries. I do get new phones regularly, but the ones that I have kept for 1 year+ have always maintained good batt life.

This phone uses a Li-Ion battery which doesn't need to be seasoned. In fact, running the battery down to 0 is going to wear it out quicker.

Once the phone says "Charge Complete", there is no need to charge it further. Even if you just got your phone, there is no need to charge it for 8 hours like you used to do. Once it's charged, that's it.

I finally ordered a spare battery direct from Motorola. I have not had issues lately, mainly because I am not using the phone that much. I only use it heavily when I am traveling for business.
One good thing about the phone, listening to music does not seem to eat up the battery. I'm really enjoying the MP3 player. My iPod has been getting a rest lately. I've got a 2 gig micro SD card and keep it filled.

And as I posted earlier, battery life can be greatly improved by just lowering the screen brightness a few notches. I have no problem anymore...although a spare battery is never a bad idea!

Plus I purchased a small external battery charger for about $10 so I can always have a spare charged battery. Saves having to plug in phone at night. I just swap the battery every couple of days.

That's where I got the spare battery charger and a bunch of other goodies for my new phone. If you spend $50 shipping is free. They don't have the right battery for the v3xx yet, though. Don't order a battery from them or you will get the standard RAZR battery. I had to get the battery from the Motorola site itself. That's the only place it is available now. Even Cingular does not stock the BZ60 yet.
