Internet Question
So i am seriously thinkin about getting the platinum v3xx which is awsome looking with the chrome inside. but i am playing with one in my store and i gotta have mini opera. i am an internet freak and cannot go hours without checkin my myspace. but it always ask you to grant internet access with ever web page you go to. does anyone know a way around this to where it always grants it access???? just wondering cause i cant figure it out.

No, it shouldn't be doing that but it does. So does the CU-500 and the Sync, both of which I've tried. I think it's Cingys way of making you use the built-in browser. I've gotten used to it when I'm in OperaMini, and the built in is OperaMobile, which isn't bad, although it doesn't seem to load quite as fast. I have no problem accessing myspace from the built-in OperaMobile though.

I understand that most phones dont do this but i also know when you view a web page it comes up and says allow always ask, no never grant. and most of the time there is another option allow never ask ya know. its kinda irritating really but i guess i can live with it. also what is opera mobile i am interested in finding out????

Yeah, that is my big gripe...I don't mind having to confirm use of data network, but why can't there be an option "yes, always allow"? At least for each session, so you don't have to constantly choose the "yes, always ask" option. Pretty stupid, but I've gotten used to this little annoyance...hitting that has become automatic.
I can't give you all the specific differences between OperaMini and Mobile, but the Opera web site can. As far as I know from the specs, v3xx has OperaMobile as it's built-in browser. It works pretty good, I don't have a problem with it, and I do a fair amount of browsing...newspapers, periodicals, myspace, etc. Keep in mind, using the built-in won't ask for the data permission everytime!

do i have to download opera mobile??? cause only built in browsers i see are media net, and java really. or how would i access this.

As far as I know, MediaNet is just the cingy name, the v3xx uses OperaMobile as it's built in browser (which is MediaNet), so you don't have to do anything. Try it out, it is pretty good, I've only had a few sites I haven't been able to access, but I haven't been able to get them on OperaMini either. I know it looks proprietary at first, but throw in a couple url's like myspace.com and see how it looks. It's been serving my needs fairly well while away from my computer. I just read a new myspace message through the phone today. I mean it's not a Treo or Blackberry, but it does alright for $50!

thanks for the info thats all i am looking for to. I had an 8125 and after a while i realized i am paying 100 bucks a month to cruise myspace and craigslist. A huge waste of money thats why i am going back to a regular flip phone. thanks for the info
