Is there no headset jack?
Bluetooth is for dorks as far as I can see. I never see anyone with a bluetooth piece in their ear without laughing at them. Just looks like people trying to live out a Star Trek fantasy or thinking they're all that because they have a blue light flashing next to their melon. 🤣
The Headset Adapter allows you to use any 2.5mm corded headset and power your handset at the same time.
I'm certainly not against bluetooth while driving. I think some kind of hands free device, regardless of what it is, is absolutely necessary, so you can use both hands to drive. And not worrying about an extra cable in my car would be nice.
I just think people who wear bluetooth headsets everywhere look a little silly. It's also nice to know that if I get the 8700, I don't HAVE to immediately run out and get a bluetooth headset.

look in the box the phone came in...any phone that does not take a standard 2.5mm jack comes with an adapter that plugs in the charging port in which you can then plug in your wired headset. I have 2 wired headsets but they must have 3.5mm plugs because they are too bit to fit in the tiny headset/TTY jack. I have a metal adapter that allows the 3.5mm plug to fit the jack in the 8700 headset adapter -- however, no sound comes through at all.
So, my question is -- has anyone actually USED a wired headset through the enclosed adapter that comes with the phone and gotten good results?
I plan to buy a bluetooth headset for driving; but d...

Question -- can you listen to music through a monaural (single earpiece) bluetooth headset?
Also....just for those interested in custom ringtones....someone in these forums posted info about myxertones.com yesterday. I went there and tried it....and spent nearly the whole day downloading ringtones! It was so fun! Free! Easy! You can pick which part of your songs from your computer you want to be your ringtones. I love my ringtones now!
Thanks for the help, nvsengy! 😁
