How can I set a Midi file as my ringtone (from an SD card)?

How can I set a Midi file as my ringtone (from an SD card)?

Is it possible?

From all that I have read there is not a way to do that using an SD card.
Ringtones appear to only exist on the phone memory itself and can only be transferred using the USB cable directly to the phone and not into the SD card.
Most of my info comes from this website

shoudl be able to send them through mms! I will let you know tomorrow, i plan on sending a bunch of ringtones to myself tonight

yup, i just sent 7 ringtones through as pix messages, just send the file to yourself and when you open up the message save as ringtone and there you go

Just for anyones info, as yeahright says, you need to send the midi file to your pix address which should be "yournumberwithareacode"@vzwpix.com

This will save me so much money in ringtone purchases 🙂

No, I sent a Midi file to myself and one of the Options one the message once its received is to save as ringtone.
MP3's I transfer using my SD card.
