Scratch potential with VX 8700??
For those of you who have the 8700, are you having problems with scratches in the metal exterior? I was in a CC today trying to compare the 8700 to the Maxx and could not get my mind off the scratches. I know you should use a case but the reality is that it will not happen. Seems silly to have a great looking new phone but have to hide it with a case.

I know scratches seem like a legit problem. I bought the case from Verizon because of this fact. I bought the phone because of the 2MP, Themes, and its sturdy. It is absoutely beautiful but with a couple dings and scratches it wont be. I just want the phone to last the 2 years.

Thats why it includes a pouch.
No problems with scratches yet.

The phone had to sit in the leather case for a day or two before the case took on the "glove fit."
I plan on finding a lanyard for the phone and on entertainment and dating occasions go without the leather case to show off the cool sophistication and beauty of the VX 8700. 😁

Well i switched out my phone on Thursday due to my last one getting as hot as a burning pot, and now the paint by the 7 and pound keys is starting to chip and come off on the inside of the phone. There is no way in hell that I could have done anything to scratch the phone because its in the pouch all the time. Back to the store tomorrow.

Why would it scratch any more or less then any other phone? Especially plastic phones? About the only phone I can think of that wouldn't scratch would be one that is rubber coated, like some of those designer phones have.
