REAL Battery Life??????

SanMar

I've had my 8700 for just over a week now. The battery life is not what I would consider good. In that week, I have had to charge it 4 times. I am getting 1.5 to 2 days a charge, with few calls. And the 2 day was when it was on the charger 1.5 days before that. This is not very handy figuring I am going to have to charge it every night. I am considering sending it back for something else, but I really like the phone. What are others getting for time between charges when not having many calls?

Thanks
Mark

Please let me know what kind of battery life you are getting. I'm trying to decide if I have a problem with mine and need to exchange it, it if my short battery life is typical and I get something else.

well, welcome to the world of slim phones. If you send it back I recommend not getting a razr, razr maxx, 8600, krazr.... Slim phones have the draw back of poor battery. YOurs seems a little worse than it should be, but i charge mine every night. YOu may try going into the secret programming and turning evdo off if you don't need it, that may help a little. Otherwise I suggest an 8300, not as sexy, not as slim, but good battery

I've had the phone alomst a month and I use it for about 30 min of call time per day and like 50 texts per day. I only have to charge it every 3 days. Maybe u have the phone's bluetooth enabled all the time. Enabling bluetooth shortens the battery life on every phone. Only have it on when u need the bluetooth. Just a thought.

After 1 week I am charging every 2 days. I don't think that is too bad since I am playing with it so much. I have been recording video, taking pictures and uploading ring-tones that I make. I am sure as the newness wears off, I will not use so much battery.
