Caller ID Display Very Faint
While the clock in the external window is legible against contrasting backgrounds. The Caller ID number comes up against a similar dark funky type of background in the external window..basically making it hard to read in any kind of light.
Is there a fix on the way? Both LG and Verizon agree but offer no solution

No but what I did was to set my phone to not answer on flip open so when I open the flip, the larger display inside can validate who is calling.
Additionally, I turned on talking caller ID so it announces every call as it comes in.

I miss the old green screen on the outside. It should be an option- you can even see it in daylight!

In response to the caller ID being very faint. That is a definite problem. I love LG phones, but they need to work on alot if issues they have with these phones. I paid full retail for the 8700, so I would have liked the clarity of who's calling to be alot clearer. It wasn't a cheap phone by no means. They also needed to work on louder ringers. Do all these slim phones have a problem with the faint ringers? I like the phone alot, but they could of worked on some of these issues before releasing the phone to the public. 😡

You can solve the ringer problem by downloading a ringtone that is loud. I found several songs that I like that are plenty loud as ringtones. I can hear my phone singing two offices away.
I have not tried to deal with the caller ID since I usually open the phone to see it and it is fine on the inner screen.
