Obviously the 8600 is a better phone

I was worried after I got my 8600 and heard about the 8700 but now I am happy I did not waste my time waiting.

Yeah, I do say so, Jag.

I have the 8600 and my niece just got the 8700. Nuff said, I know what I am talking about.

your just sad because you have alltel and the 8600 is the only one they offer. Dont get me wrong the 8600 is nice if you like a poor camera and fragile build quality. The only thing it has over the 8700 is the outside display.

"Yeah, I do say so, Jag"? Articulate AND an authority on phones. The total package. I bet you're some little punk who would never say that to someone's face 'cause you'd get pounded, so you run around forums and blogs being a numbskull to blow off steam. It's not our fault mommy didn't hug you enough as a child.

8700 is definitely better. Nicer looking finish, the slightly extra weight to the phone feels better, sturdier, larger fonts, larger and easier to press keypad, 2.0 megapixel camera versus 1.3 on the 8600. 8600 finish gets scratched up really easily. That's the main reason I returned mine. After a week I already had a few scratches...and I really tried not to get any. I could only imagine what it would look like after 6 months. If you like your 8600 better though, rock on buddy.
