August 10, 2007, Charlotte, NC
Went into large local Verizon store and asked if they could show me a list of upcoming phones since my company and I are interested in the Vx6800 Mogul/Titan.
They said they had no list (who knows?) and said they did not anticipate seeing this phone for a few more months from what they heard. The salesperson also expressed disappointment but also did not know that Sprint carried the phone.
Now of course the salesperson could be wrong (hopefully) and boygenius could be correct re the VX6800.
So lets continue to keep each other informed, check VZW website and stores from August 15th onward...
Who knows.....
Thanks,
Peter

The xv6800 is in Verizon's systems. There's no release date set nor is there a price as of yet. The Treo 755p and the Samsung i760 are there as well. Usually when they show up when doing stock checks it won't be long before they release, so anticipate sometime within the next month or two.

next two months is too long, this phone will come out very soon,(hopefully) its sopposed to come out before the razr2, and the razr2 comes out in september!! so hopefully it will comne out sometime in august! again hopefully!!! (stupid verizon not releasing there phone when everyone wants them 😛 )

As long as they delayed it to get the bugs out and so it will have WM6 on it, I am alright with the delay, even though I had to switch back to my lg 8000 since my 6700 broke 😁

Verizon's 6800 is launching with Windows Mobile 6. I've already played around with the phone as well as the Samsung i760; both are running on WM6 when they release.
...
cool.do u know when the phones will be released!? and how did you get to play with them?
...
No idea when the phones are gonna be released, except for before the year's end. And I got to play with them because I work for them.
...
No word on it out here in the Middle State area. I did get to play with one the other day though, Qwest has the phone on display.
VERY slick phone, I am anxiously awaiting this phone along with everyone else.

Actually, a slide from an internal Verizon presentation was posted last night on pdaphonehome and howardforums. That slide, and others, state a "September 2007" release for the i760, "October 2007" release for the 6800, and a "November 2007" release for the 755p.
I can only imagine that this stradegy is based on eliminating the possibility for subscribers to take advantage of the 30-day Worry Free.
