Verizon XV6800 Demo in Stores
These dummies are not for customers to see, or use. They are for internal use only; however I'm just letting you guys know.
The i760 is a very sleek looking phone. The keypad is nicely spaced out, and easy to type on or so it seems. The screen is the same size as the XV6800.
The XV6800 is a bit less sleek looking, and at the same time, not very business-like looking. I was a little disappointed with the look, because I'm not a big fan of the altered buttons on the top and front of the handset compared to the Sprint version.

What kind of blue is the phone? like the tmob wing?
But yeah, the Pearl is finally coming to CDMA carriers, and is quite a nice upgrade of the original.
As for the launch of the 6800 it's late September/early October. Hey, at least Verizon's 6800 is launching with Windows Mobile 6.0 =P
Will the Verizon XV6800 be identical to the Sprint Mogul, for all intents and purposes, save for the cosmetic differences? I am up for renewal later this year, so I have to decide if I am going to stay with Verizon or move to Sprint. Since I live in the upper midwesr, Verizon has better coverage.
thanks!
Verizn Wireless reps are supposed to keep any information on new phones coming out under wraps until they have been officially announced for release...
it could mean someone's job.
I'm sorry you feel so strongly about wanting information. but sometimes we just cant tell you, even though we would like to.
and keep in mind, that not every rep at every store/phone is a full time phone geek.. they just sell what is out. so alot do not know, and really dont care.
just because you care, doesnt mean the rep with the name tag cares.
if you were going to make the move to the newer better device on a different service you would have... you talked about the iphone, did you cancel your VZW service and go to AT&T?
how about for the new Palm 750?
I can understand you want to have the newest phone as soon as possible, but Verizon does have a Beta test for its phones before release... employees get them... usually higher ups and the tech guys.
if Verizon gave out a phone to you and it had bugs... and you went and told everyone all over the internet forums how buggy and problematic it was... then no one would buy it when it was released...
which is why they do not give out phones to the general public before...

As for the beta, I'm sure plenty of "kids" would do exactly as you suggest; but I am professional, tactful, and perform development/quality assurance/customer relations for one of the major suppliers to most carriers. Most beta programs require some type of agreement anyway. If you are a loyal customer, I applaud your loyalty; if you're an employee I am d...
