HTC Mogul / XV6800 / PPC6800 / P4000
a questio about software upgrades. for the sprint mogul.
so I am fairly new to this smart phone deal. I just bought the mogul 3 days ago. I have not installed anything on my computer yet. I have set up my email and windows live on the mogul. but I want the sprint nusic store. apparently I need to upgrade the software. so is that something I need to do with the aid of a pc or can I do it straight from my mogul. I apologize i'm sure its a very rookie question but like I said i'm new to the smart phone thing. anywho thanks for all the help.

No, you do not need a PC for that Music Store upgrade, just follow the instruction, very easy.

the page that comes up tells me that I need a computer. when I try and download the program it says that the ruu file isn't a valid file for the pocket pc. its an exe file I think what I need is a cab file. so I dunno if I need to use a different link or something. thank you though.

OK, it seems that your are talking about the firmware update! not the Sprint Music store update, some of the moguls shipped before the new firmware update installed in them, so if this is the case you gonna have to update the firmware first, and that's right you need a PC for that or a sprint store they can do it for you, after that you will need to update the music store software.
