Well I guess I am stupid. I looked at www.verizonwireless.com/next and assumed that the countdown timer indicated when the 4 phones would be released..

Well dumb ol' me.

It is when they are announced, per the salesmen in Charlotte, NC. NOT when they are released.

But I guess most people knew that except me.

I mentioned the 6800 and he seemed to be frustrated with the fact that Verizon was providing no info on the true release of that phone. This month, next, he did not know..

Oh well. Perhaps the 8925 by ATT will be out this month. I can wait....

Thanks all.

I actually just spoke with a woman from verizon on this matter. They werent going to tell me anything but I mentioned the website to her and she said that the samsung Juke is coming out 1st, then the Venus, the pearl, and the voyager. This all begins Oct 19 and the last of the bunch will be out by November 18. She was very helpful :-). I will wait until November to investigate the voyager and venus.

Still no word on the 6800 tho...:-/

I have also been waiting forever. I have not used a PDA/smartphone but have been in desperate need for a long time. I have not been impressed with anything in VZ's lineup until the 6800. At this point I have no choice but to leave VZ after 9 years and move to a company that takes less than 2 years to get a good phone out.
