XV6800 locking up

Hello!

I have an XV6800 with Spb Time and Spb Pocket Plus 4.0.2 added to it. I am not sure if either is causing a problem, but I have had the phone lock up several times requiring battery removal to get it to respond.

Does anyone else have problems with the phone locking up and who is NOT using third-party applications?

On a side note, is there any registry hack to make the alarms work when the phone is on the charger? Spb Time does it, but it is nuts that the phone won't do it out of the box.

I had those downloads and it froze mine too..From my findings anything you do to this pda slows it down a great deal, and creates a terribly long lag time between apps...I actually had to get a replacement because my first one suffered from a burntout keypad light,,it just started to flicker constantly,,and it was after I owned it for twomdays..I download quite a few apps,,I think thats what did me in

I have this phone and run many 3rd party apps, and it works fine, so i am thinking that maybe its the app or user error

Well, it certainly is not user error, unless you consider letting the phone sit for a few hours an error. My XV6800 with the previously mentioned Spb apps, and a client's XV6800, both lock up on us several times a week. My client has nothing on the phone except the factory stuff.

The phone becomes totally unresponsive to any button presses, including the power button, requiring battery removal to clear it.

It's getting to be a pain in the rear.

I thought waiting for this phone would be worth it, but I am beginning to think it was not.

Due to the fact that VZW only has this model as a decent Pocket PC PDA, I will keep it, and just hope VZW fixes the lockup problem with newer firmware.
