I was fooling around with 6800- it seemed like the voice dialling needs to 'trained'; unlike the Moto Q, which is speaker independent.

does it require training??

It has to be taged per item. I think the phones design was to be able to recognize your voice for anything but, Verizon must of had problems with it because it's not in the phone now that I can see. Check this guys reply about the phone he says the samething. https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php ?fm=m&ff=1142&fi=1484136

I initially tried a Samsung i760 and it had Voice Command with speaker-independent voice recognition. I returned it for various reasons and got the XV6800.

The XV6800 does not have Voice Command (as noted, it has to be trained and tagged to specific items), and from a couple posts I have seen, some people claim that Voice Command does not work if you buy it and add it to the XV6800. They said that it does not pick up the acknowledgment when you say Yes after telling it to call someone and it asks you to confirm the name. I think they said that was with BT headsets.

HUGE BUMMER, as Voice Command is a necessity when driving.

Perhaps a future firmware update will fix that problem, as well as alarms that do not work when the phone is on...
