USB charge cable
I have reviewed the pertinent posts on this subject and am still not clear whether the included USB data cable is also a charge cable.
Someone mentioned that they were having trouble getting a full charge using a different USB charge cable (non-OEM?), and another recommended using the AC charger instead. That leads me to believe the answer to my question is no.
But the USB data cable that accompanied my previous Motorola SmartPhone (MPx-220)(not a micro USB port, incidentally) was also a very efficient charger, and I'd be surprised if we have actually moved away in the past few years from dual function data/charge cables. Is there something unique about the micro USB connection that does not permit charging?
Can anyone help?

From my experience, using the Micro-mini USB Adapter and a Motorola Mini-USB Cable, it can sustain the battery and charge to about half full. I left it plugged in overnight, the phone said I had full battery, but died in a day (with a brand new extended battery). I charged with the a/c charger (and the mini to micro adapter) and all has been well.

Thanks. Not wanting to buy another cable, I went ahead and ordered the OEM USB charge/data cradle from Motorola. No cable was included, but it takes the micro-USB-to-USB cable that accompanied the Q, and is an awesome way to handle charging (phone + spare battery!) and data sync.
Highly recommended accessory.
