songs and videos from SD card?

chairman

Just some quick questions:

1) I can load songs from my PC to a card and then to the phone, but the phone only shows the names of around 50% of the songs. The remaining songs are there, but are listed as "track 1, track 2" etc. The songs whose names are not shown are often listed in the song info with artist, album, and genre unknown. Is there a way to make the phone recognize the names that I have for the songs (the names still show on the card)?

2) In which folder on the SD card should I put video clips so that I can watch them on the phone?

Thanks.

If files are listed as "track 1, track 2" it is because that is what you named them on your computer, remove them from the card or format it if thats easier...
Correct the info in explorer or with Windows Media Player, again whatever is easier for you...
Drag/drop them into the "My_Music" folder.

If you want to move video clips to phone, you will first change the file format into a " 3g2 " format, then drag/drop them in "My_Flix"

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually figured out why. I already named the songs in Windows Explorer (e.g., "HotelCalifornia"), but the song still showed as "track 1" in the phone. I went back to Windows Explorer, right-clicked on the songs and chose "properties", and then clicked on the "summary" tab. Then, I realized that althought I'd already named the songs, its "real" title was still "track 1" here!

I corrected this problem by typing all the names again, not just the normal way (e.g., renaming a song) but also in the "title" box in the summary tab. Just mentioning it here, in case others may run into a similar problem :-) Now the phone shows all the songs I have on my card, and in the names I gave them :-)
