Tips for Voyager Owners!!!!!!! These will help some of you
Please keep these in mind
-Nationwide Plans are required to use the phone. Pricing is the same as America's Choice
-PLEASE PLEASE get vcast IF you're planning on using the browser. It will eat up your MB and rack up your bill in no time. Remember 1 MB=$1.99. So to give you an idea myspace main page is about 1MB. DO the math
-The touch screen has a calibration option under the settings. This is a feature like the PDA's with touch screen. It reset the screen for a better response. Readjust it every now and then for better response.
-TV antenna is delicate. Be careful. If it breaks it MIGHT NOT be covered under warranty since it could be considered physical damage.
-GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR OR CASE, you will regret it if you scratch it.

You have no idea how much bandwidth websites use if you think Myspace.com uses 1 MB. It's a third of that (about 350K). Most websites are much much less. Google.com is 10K, a google search might end up being 100K per page.
Certainly, get the VPak if you want to browse the web. But don't exaggerate.

HA. You've obviously never been to my page... all custom graphics.. not to mention all the image comments that people leave. An average myspace page can pop 1mb no problem.

OK... even then, you have the login page (with picture ads), then you have the in-between ad pages (that almost always happen), then you have the main page itself... the main page itself also has ads, thumbnails for friends, your main pic, and other elements that most people normally don't even look at...
granted, with this phone, ya should have the $25 package.. that's what I got today, much better than the $45 package I had to have with my treo.
and the tv looks SLICK on this thing.

thanx for reply. I know i might've exaggerated a bit but sometimes just logging in to a site will eat up your MB. The moral of the story is get some sort of data plan. This phone uses a full browser it's like getting a pda without a data plan. Your overages in data will be higher than the data plan itself. I own a treo and I understand this.
On a side note, I'm been using a pda for a few years and the touch screen on the Voyager is nice but it's not a new thing if you've used a pda before. Size wise is nice but not very accurate sometimes.

I dunno.. I've been using it for a few hours now and it's pretty accurate.. I performed the alignment before I did anything though. I'm gonna miss the advanced PDA features of my 700w, but this thing seems pretty promising.
No more crappy Treo camera... yay.
Still able to tether.
Awesome speakers.
Mobile TV.
The only problem I have is the space bars.. I HATE not having a centered spacebar. It's gonna take some getting used to.. just like my original V did..
