Lucky confusion at Verizon store

I went to the Verizon store today to order a Voyager since they told me on the phone that none were in stock. When I got there, the salesman repeated that none were in stock and also said there would be a $45 monthly charge for full internet access on the Voyager. I told the salesman that the charge was incorrect but, after checking, he insisted it was $45. He started to ring up my order. A manager came over, looked over his shoulder, and said the charge should be $15/month. The salesman then disappeared in back and emerged with a new Voyager--no explanation. I don't know what caused the confusion but the end result was good.
