I just bought a Voyager. I use my phone to access AOL e-mail. Never had a problem with my previous phone (LG ENV). On the Voyager, when I go to the browser and select AOL e-mail, over 50% of the time it says “opening†and then times out and reverts to the browser menu. I never get to the sign on screen. The other 40% it works fine. Sometimes, it will time out ten times in a row and then work fine ten times. If I select from the other menu choices–Yahoo mail, Gmail, etc.–it works 100% of the time. I called Verizon tech support and they were of no help and couldn’t explain why this is happening. I’m thinking of returning the phone. Before I do (I would love to solve this problem and keep it)–I was wondering...

How do you access mobile email? I've tried going onto AOL's web site to access mail but it's really cumbersome. You mentioned in a previous posting that you accessed AOL e-mail with no problem. I assume you have a Voyager (?) Have you ever experienced the time out problem before getting to the AOL sign-in page?
Thanks.

Jess, I owe you one. I downloaded the mobile web application and so far so good. I really like the Voyager and hated to return it. Now it looks like the problem is solved. You said you accessed it through the shortcuts.
I assume you mean Get it Now is in your shortcuts (unless there is a way to go directly to the mobile web). Also, Do you know if it's a one time or monthly fee? Thanks again!

i thought it was a onetime fee on my 8300? it just uses airtime hence why i got the vcast on my old phone 🙂 and already have it on the voyager. Oh, and yes, unfortunately it is just the get it now shortcut on this phone.
i also called verizon bc i had this moviegoer program from get it now on my old phone and they said there are only 10 or 12 programs for this phone currently and to check back currently fornew things.
gluck with ur new program 🙂

TRY ACCESSING YOUR ACCOUNT DIRECTLY THROUGH THE html BROWSER INSTEAD AND SAVE IT AS A FAVORITE

use the mobile email client, it is a much better experience than the web clients, $5/month or free on premium plan, go to get it now to download and try it for a month.
