Which way will give us the best sounding ringtones?
One way is the BitPim way through their website and the second way is through our memory card and through my sounds...
The second definitely sounds easier, but then you would have to download a program to chop up your music to make it small enough to text to yourself...
So I was just wondering if anyone out there has tried both and if so which ones will give us the best sounding ringtones? And if you use the second way, what is a good, simple, free site to use to cut down my Mp3s? Thanks for your help thus far...
I suppose that you could use Audacity... look it up online (prolly at www.downloads.com). I've heard that a lot of people use it. I can upload a sample ringer that I've made for myself if you'd like an example.
this is a text/pic/voicemail notification I made from Sunglasses At Night.. I figured it wouldn't offend anyone and can't be hated too much.. right? 80s? yeah. ðŸ¤
anyway.. here's one for a full on ringer as well. sorry if it's not your cup of tea, it's just an example.
these are two examples of full call ringers:
Calvin Harris - Acceptable In The 80s
(awesome.. you should visit his myspace.. he's from the UK)

and
Panic! At The Disco - I Write Sins Not Tragedies
(also awesome.. more mainstream than the first.. and be warned.. this ringer includes g*d d*mn.. so please don't open this if you're underage or are easily offended by "blasphemous" p...

describe exactly what's happening and I'll try to help.
in my experience with nero, even when saving at a high bitrate, it makes a crappy quality sound file. I closed down nero and then opened the file I had created and it sounded like crap.. but hadn't sounded like that when I was creating it. I think what they do is play the cached version of the song from the original MP3 and not the final output file.
try shutting down nero and reopening it and listening to the small MP3 clip that you created. see if the ugly quality shows here.
also, did you try the sample ringers tha...

get bitpim. it's at http://www.bitpim.org/ and it's amazing.
use the cable that came with your voyager and after you've installed bitpim, connect the cable... it should recognize your phone and load the settings for it automatically. you should get a green light at the bottom and it should say "LG VX-10000 on COMxx Detected"
if you see this, you're good to go (like taco bell crunch wrap supreme, ya dig?) 🙂
then go to the icon on the tool bar that has the arrow pointed away from the phone and select Ringtone and replace all. then hit ok.. it should download some stuff from your phone.. it may take a minute.. the light in the lower left corn...
