Locking Phone
Has anyone come up with a shortcut for Locking the phone or a way to add it to the shortcut meny?
...
I can't believe that Lg or Verizon were so stupid that they took the shortcut to lovking your phone away. It was much easier to hold a button down then go through several steps. Has anyone come up with a shortcut?

there is a slide key on the left side of the phone as you are looking at it closed upright. you slide that down to lock/unlock the phone. or you can have it auto lock when you close the phone or even when you get into a phone call to prevent having your face hitting keys while in a call.. hope this helps

Please test what you are saying. It does lock the front of the phone, but if you open the open the phone, the inside of the phone is not locked. That is what I am talking about. The Full Lock of the phone. You use to be able to do it with the # Key. Why would they have taken that away. Now you have to either have it do it at turning the phone on or go through several steps.

i saw what you were sayin afer i posted. your talking about when you'd have to put in your passcode to unlock it? cause otherwise it'd be useless to lock it up that much if out of convience.

I am still going to lock mine. My last phone fell off my belt and I didn't realize that I lost it till I left the restaurant I was at. I went back and it was turned in after being found in the parking lot. Had it not been locked and useless to anyone who found it, I would probably not have gotten it back.

never really thought about that.. but cause i ride motorcycles i usually keep it in my pocket.. that way if i ever crash it breaks and if im knocked unconcious someone isn't going to steal it hehe

No. I am talking about locking the entire phone. The side button only locks the front screen.

I know what your talking about and I looked through book and it seems like a lot of crap.As far as I can see you have to go into the menu settings and that is crazy for locking quickly. Other LG phones I had you could activate and turn back off right from the the key pad. Another small flaw with phone that was good to have.
