Actually, the white G1 version will be available in stores on the Oct 22nd. It just wasn't available for pre-order. It will also be available online on the 22nd.

it wasn't available for pre order becuase it is not coming out until next year and the price will go upon the phone probably in Q2...my store is getting a good amount of phones and what do you know, no white ones.

Who cares which color Phonescoop shows? The point is its their display for this phone. And as far as paint chipping, most geeks here (and I included myself) probably will have replaced the "white" G1" or any high end phone, way before cosmetic issues become overwhelming.

The G1 device is currently available in Black and Bronze. The G1 in White will not be available for sale until after Thanksgiving

No matter what as far as looks go this one has no appeal what so ever looks like Htc gave the better phone design to the better phones like the Touch Diamond or the Touch Pro 😎
