Funny Things with the storm fourm
i find it ammusing how people who say they hate the storm constantly post things about how there phone is better or why ours sucks. but all im getting from it is people are scared/jelous that once another update gets released and fixes the few bugs left that there phone will fall behind in all aspects. so they come here and trash it to make it seem that there phone is better and the best part is. is a PHONE. like are these people so lacking of something that gives there life meaning that they depend on what there holding in their hand to define them...?

I agree 100%. It is a phone for crying out loud. Have you downloaded .83 yet? It really makes some significant improvements. Still not perfect but it's getting there. 😉

If nobody wants the phone why is it a lot of people seem to be very intrigued by it? Like you for instance you have quite a few posts. I thought you would be on Diamond Pro forum. I’m not on former forum spewing criticism on former phones or my colleague's phones.

People are intrigued because BB has been needing a touch screen for a long time. The first berry I had was returned for buyers remorse for the ppc6700 which has a touch screen. You are more then welcome to post whatever u like. I'm an open minded person if you have something you would like to say about the Touch Pro or Touch Diamond go ahead feel free to post it thats what forums are for. The screen in my opinion is terrible I think u missed the point of a touch screen its supposed to make things easier not require more work. Maybe when u come to your senses you will be smart enough to make the switch... 😎

you have to be smart to use this phone, it has a big learning curve, however once learned the phone is wonderful. anyone who used it for only a day or two or less probably didnt like it at all, because they didnt know how to use it.
the more i use mine, the better it gets.
i think thats why diamond pro doesnt like it, he cant figure out how to use it.

Verizon does offer free lessons @ their shops. It is very different from the other BBs. It took me a while to type productively however now I make very little mistakes.
If they did have the BOLD w/ the same hardware w/out the touch screen I think I would have gotten that device just b/c the qwerty keyboard though. But I am loving my Storm.

I dig the phone. It takes time to learn, but it is pretty sweet phone. people are too quick to conclusion when they don't understand or don't take the time to figure something out.

Must have patience with this phone, but the rewards of actually sitting down and learning to use it are well worth it.
Diamond has little knowledge of any phone that I have seen except for Treos. It's easy to say you have every phone on the planet on Phonescoop, but its a little tougher to prove your knowledge when asked in-depth questions...He is a die hard Sprint lover anyway 😳

They must have fixed these bugs. I just got my blackberr storm this past Monday and not had any problems.except I can't the phone to ring into the head phones when they are pluged in. And I wish it was just a little louder.Jo

Sorry guys but the Touch Pro has a much higher learning curve then the storm. Way higher! It has Windows Mobile and a host of other programs and apps the storm does not. The storm just does not impress me. BB OS for the most part is pretty user friendly in my opinion. The storm is a eye catcher but I see no reason why to get this phone over the Curve. Playing with the storm only made me appreciate my Touch Pro even more. 😎

like u said, you played with it. if you use it for 5 mins, or 'play with it' u wont like it, because u didnt learn it yet. dont see why to get it over the curve? lol. sorry buddy, i have both. its better then the curve, but u disagree because u dont understand how to use it.

diamond hes saying other people only use phones for 5 minutes so they have no idea but he isnt even on verizon/t-mobil/at&t he has sprint so there is not way he could have a functioning storm. he is a waste of time and i say people just ignore his posts from now on as if he werent there it will make this fourm much better.

I don't understand why this keeps happening. In the past I have come to phonescoop for help in making a decision about getting a new phone or to get help in a problem I am having with my current phone. I have a Blackberry Curve and was considering the Bold or the Storm for my next upgrade. This forum and the comments made about each phone helped me to decide which of these 2 to get (the Bold). What I don't like about this forum (or any other) are the pi**ing matches that develop over my phone is better than your phone, and the personal attacks that come with it. Who has the time for all this? I have started to just go to Crackberry.com, which seems to have less of this going on. A shame, since this was the first place I would visit to...

Almost every non-biased web site has given the storm a low rating. Several user on this very site including Eric Zeman the moderator gave this phone a poor review.
So many BB fan boi's out there would buy any POS BB sells regardless of quality and overall performance. They constantly try to sway new buyers to jump on the BB bandwagon.
Thats all I see in this forum. Verizon customers who had this phone and returned because they had a bad experience get fan boy feed back as soon as they post here. No matter how bad they tried to like this phone or wanted it to be a iphone killer they still get belittled and bombarded with comments. Like give the phone a chance or there will be updates or you don't know how to use it properly. Thats BS ...
