i dont know if its .85 or the phone, but when listening to music with the supplied headset, when the song ends, and the next one starts, it plays louder then the previous song. so then i hit the vol down button, and it goes off (i listen to the lowest volume at work in 1 ear) and then when i hit the vol up one time, its quieter then it was before lol.

this is my first time using the headset.

also, how often does everyone charge their storm? it was full at 830 am today, and now its at 40% (showing 2 bars) i talked for maybe 5 mins total, web for maybe 5 mins total, and music through the headset at lowest volume for maybe an hour.... grrrr i think its .85 software.

I got in the habit a couple of years ago of charging overnight with smartphones. Mines been off charging since around 9 am, about 30 minutes of calls, lots of incoming emails and I am about 95%. Low usage today.

So I put the headphones in and tried the music player. I don't have any songs or video loaded yet, just the preloaded Babylon trailer and 1 song. 2 song plays and 1 run of the trailer brought the battery down another 5% which was as much as my 1/2 of calls and 3 hours of normal standby.

I think memory as well as battery life is fluctuating with the software updates. They still seem to be tweeking it

I charge mine overnight.

I have not noticed the problem you are mentioning since I do not use my Storm as a music player. I just carry my iPod Nano or Shuffle for that.

Thanks goodness for fanny pack holsters. They do their intended job and still leave enough room to carry a few different items. 🙂
