BlackBerry Storm 9530

The g1 even made this list as well as the iphone at some point. All these touch phones come out super buggy. I actually have the storm and I love it. It takes some getting use to, but I'd rather have this than the boring curve; sorry but the phone is boring and unsexy but functional. The storm is all of the above but I am still getting an iphone. lol.

I do agree that the premature launch of the Storm was one of the worst business decisions in the history of smart phone. The initial reaction to the phone was very poor because of the initial reaction to the software and returs (as mentioned in the article) where very high.

I also agree that the demand from VZW for a non-WIFI version will end up biting them in the rear (even the Canadian version has WIFI). To not include WIFI just as Apple was introducing the iPhone3G just made the device seem inferior right off the block.

I also agree that the click screen can easily be seen as a flop. The vast majority of professional reviews hate the click screen and I can understand why they do. The lack of ability to handle over lapping selections...

Smartphones in general have become so complex that it would be foolish to think that you could get a perfect phone or introduction of one with any of these factors:
-a brand new OS (ex: G-1)
-new cutting edge technology
-or from a manufacturer (ex: RIM) that has never tried a touch type phone or is venturing into a new market

I have made this same argument in other phone forums on here and not just this one.

So from the articles perspective where they gave it roughly a month to succeed before their end of the year publishing deadline and many people are still coming down from their massive sugar high created before its introduction, a flop was created 🙄

Funny this does not surprise me. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Compared to the Touch Diamond, iphone, and even the g1 the storm is dead last. 😎
