OS 4.7.0.99 leaked!
As always install at your own risk and only if you are comfortable with doing so.

-Camera actually works in this version
-Fonts are back to smaller sizes seen in prior OS's
Are you having any problems with your VZNavigator program? Mine is shrunk into the middle of my screen and I can not get it do anything? It has been happening since I did the last upgrade.
Any suggestions?
I tried to use the camera yesterday and my phone froze for a minute.
All the software is buggy, I am assuming that these new updates are less buggy. Somebody help me out here.
i downloaded a program called 'capture it' and you can take screen shots of your blackberry storm, its a pretty awesome program.

Always wondered how others were doing that!
-VERY happy the camera is working! 😁
-I was happy with .90 in the beginning too but became less so as the days went on. Little things kept popping up that annoyed me. The phone app was buggy for me as well as the camera. Couldn't get into voice mail sometimes because the dialpad would lock up while on a call, screen would not turn off to save power, etc.
I did a complete wipe with JL Commander and reinstalled with this one. So far so good! Nothing is annoying me yet. No battery pulls this morning.
I hope .99 is stable enough as the days go by to officially release by Verizon 😁
i notice mine is a lil slower sending pics and opening messages, though i do have a ton of them.

and where can I get the jl commander?
Try this link. It explains what the program is about too. Very simple to use. Some think taking the OS off before you install a new one is a good idea and some think it's a waste of time.

Can't be any worse than .75.
Give that man a cigar! 🤣
In general the higher the OS, the faster it is.
Don't let get me started on .65 🤣

You'll need bittorrent or some other torrent software, but they're all free

Can someone please help me with this? I can't get the desk top manager to recognize the .99 software. I am still running .75 Please help
A couple of things you can try:
-Disable the internet connection on your computer, connect up your Storm and start Desktop Manager and see if it is there
or
-Delete the vendor.xml file located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and then start Desktop Manager
This thread gives some discussion and better instructions on what will work:

i use a ton of 3rd party apps, which probably is why i had the 1 reboot.
.99 is the best so far
its almost like a whole new phone (at least comming from .90 lol)
for playing with it for 30 minutes since updating.
1. Scrolling and simply navigating around the phone is faster.
2. The camera is faster, no more 3 second delay when trying to take a pic, and the button tool bar across the bottom edge of the screen while taking a pic is more opaque.
3. The updater application backed up and restored everything, I only need to go do a *228 to reactivate, then I need to reactivate on my BES server at work.
4. Videos, pics and music load quicker, and play smoother.
5. Accellerometer seems to respond quicker.
I will let you all know how day 2 of using .99 firmware is going for me. So far so good.
THANK YOU RIM, for taking the time to put out updates for ...
(continues)
My phone is working faster, the camera takes pics faster. No freezes, no bugs.
I also noticed it seems to scroll the menus faster too.
Just seems much more stable overall.
And the updater app is very smart.
It made it super easy to do.
Installation was a snap. After deleting the vendor file, it installed and I did a battery pull. WOW. 😁
