Hybrid OS .114 Rocks ++++++ Give it a shot

😁 😁

Like most people who own the Storm, I am frustrated by Verizon's slow rolling out of any updates for the Storm. But I do understand their point of view: they have to do the tech support for the product, so why rush and have problems. But I know: some are still having problems and some aren't. Anyway!!!

I was skeptical of trying any of the leaked OS at first, but then said what the Hell and did it. I have never looked back. Now I find myself trying a Hybrid OS and OMG. What a difference in the phone. I have yet to find a problem with it. I installed it this morning, WOW.

I got the OS from blackberryos.com. Between, phonescoop.com, crackberry.com and blackberryos.com, the help for installing any Hybrid is amazing.

I have been shying away from the hybrids for a while now, but I figured what the heck I was going to take the time to reload .109 anyway. I might as well try the .114 hybrid.

-weird keyboard and dialpad issues are gone
-accelerometer is quick again
-little lag compared to the non-hybrid

So far so good. I am liking it 😁

I am seriously trying to find something wrong with this hybrid and I am coming up empty.
I am very impressed 😎

I am also equally impressed how people can take a buggy build like .114 and within a short time come up with an OS that kicks butt!

RIM needs to turn their staff over and hire these guys for their outside the box thinking 😕

I completely agree w you. RIM needs to figure out how this guy fixed their bugs.

The only issue I have is while in landscape mode, typing has some lag.

This hybrid is rocking my world!

hahahahaha...

No kidding. I've been hopping back and forth between the various forums and everyone is talking about this OS. RIM needs to hire these guys.

I've been playing with this for 24 hours or more, very very little memory leak if any. The browser loads fast and thus far has been very stable.

I did a battery pull this morning and it runs even better. Amazing!!! This is what the Storm should have been shipped with. Now the Iphone needs to be worried!!!!!

For the non-technically gifted, here's a step-by-step for installing the .114 os hybrid. Has anyone found an easier way to do it? 🙄
