not enough memory for OTA update?
Every time I try to do install, it tells me I need to delete 21MB of personal data. I have emptied my email, facebook messages, some recurring calendar events, tasks, photos, and some little-used apps. But I'm still getting the message. Anyone got any hints on what I can get rid of?

I deleted a couple more apps and now the download is in progress. Very slow progress. Seems like it has been going for about an hour and it is still only 46% done.

After 2 hours and 15 minutes the download is done. I can now install, but after that much time downloading, I now have insufficient memory to complete the installation. Will have to wait until tonight after I can charge the phone. Ain't technology grand?

Hey!
I had the same problem w/ not enough memory to download the update. I just used the hard pull app and had more than enough memory. Next time try that. I was told w/ the .075 OS there is a memory leak. Before I did the quickpull I only had 845KB after I did the quickpull I had 28MB.. BIG DIFFERENCE.. 😕 If you don't have the quickpull app you could do a hard battery pull.
To do this pull your battery out while phone is on and leave it out for 10 seconds then replace and turn on phone!
Hope I could help you! 🙂 Also i'm still waiting for my download to complete.. its taking forever.. its been an hour and its only 50% complete.. 🙄

hard pull should do it!

Thanks. Eventually I took off enough apps to get the install done. The only problem I've found so far is that the list of ucoming calendar events no longer shows up on my home screen. Haven't found a way to get that back. Any ideas? Could the memory issue be effecting that?

Odd. I just added some items to my calendar and they show up listed on my screen. But anything that is in my calendar from before the update does not show up. I guess I'll try modifying some of them and see if saving them after modification makes them show up.
