Confused!!! with the wifi-PAM option
Greetings all!
ok, i've been reading about that awesome wifi-router etc etc, it is clear to me that for that i will need a 29.99 data plan (plus the already 10.00 charges). But what if i want to use some old school PAM option? (Phone As Modem). can i just connect my laptop to my EVO? i bought it on June 4th but havent tried anything with my laptop because i dont want some "surprise!!" charges. Please enligh me here you tech guys!.
P.S. i work for T-Mobile LOL !!! but the EVO is the EVO!!! 🤣

No, I work for sprint. Sprint discontinued the PAM option about the beginning of the year.
The new Hotspot option is $29.99 because its half the price of a connection card which is $59.99. So its a good thing because it allows you to connect up 8 devices using your evo but not having to add a new line (contract) just for a connection card and its faster then most connection cards, with the exception of the 4G card and unlike cards it allows multiple devices connect simultaneously for half price. So your good. 😉

Get online with your notebook or desktop computer at any time, using your device’s data connection.ï€Â
For information on setting up and using the data connection, see “Getting Started With Data Services.â€Â
1. Connect the device to the computer using the provided USB cable.
2. On the Connect to PC screen, select Internet sharing, and then tap Done.
When you are using your device as a modem, the USB mass storage feature is disabled, and you will not be able to use HTC Sync.
