I wonder how hard it would be to unlock?
I see that this phone supports AT&T's hdspa's radios, as well as gsm radios. I just wonder if one so wishes, how hard would it be to unlock and use it on the gsm side?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a Euro version will be released that can be imported? Of course, then, it'll be 900/1900/2100 MHz 3G ... just to rain on my parade.

Well, in some ways, waiting is good, tired of being an early adopter and getting hosed. Or have to fight with issues on an expensive device. Motorola phones don't have a history of difficulty unlocking, probably within a month or a few weeks unlocks will be available, and by that time, we should know how good or bad the Droid Pro is.

To unlock a Verizon phone:
1: Activate it on a Verizon Plan
2: Call global tech support and get unlock key
done 🙂
The only pitfall is it has to be on a verizon plan to get the unlock. I'm sure you can do it other ways, but verizon won't help you unless it's on one of their plans.

I'm sure there will be other methods.

On the other hand, if you purchase it full retail, you can activate it on a verizon plan, get the unlock code, and cancel the verizon plan within 30 days.
Of course, then you're stuck paying full retail, but you'd pretty much have to do that anyway if you didn't intend to have it on verizon.
