you dont want the treo 600 bc the treo 610 is coming out in a few months and it will be MUCH better. higher screen resolution, bluetooth and many other features that i forget. search for it on google and you will see. i repeat, DO NOT get the treo 600 bc you will be very upset when the trwo 610 comes out.

c'mon..... if the rumored 610 comes out as quickly as the rest of VZW's phones, it will be a year from now

there is no way vzw will kill their treo 600 sales so soon after release by releasing an updated model... i would assume any updated version would be on sprint first

that being said, for those inquiring as to price... i received the 600 on friday 6/15, with a 2 year contract for $349.... but it was NOT utilizing new every two.... not quite sure what the promo was (or if it was only through business channels which is where I got my phone) but I was told it was $349 and I couldn't use my new every two which i thought was equally strange

Hey BoomBoom... EXACTLY!!! Verizon is not going to release the 600, and then release the 610 5 months after that, like a lot of people speculate. If that were the case, no one would buy the 600, and money would be lost.

But, for all of you who will want to wait for the 610, I found these accurate/inaccurate details about the 610

Manufacturer: palmOne
Model: Treo 610
Description: Now you can use just one device—instead of many—to get it all done. The Treo 610 is an update to the successful Treo 600 Phone from HandSpring. The 610 will include BlueTooth, Hi-Res Screen and greater amount of memory than the Treo 600.

The Treo 610 will include all the original features of the Treo 600. It will seamlessly combine a full-featured mobil...

FYI, the discount you got was an advanced device promo that VZW does for people who buy PDA and smart phones under very spasific plans, depending on the plan the discount is eather $50 or $100 and is not able to be combined with NE2. (Though a few reps don't know that last part and incorrectly discount it by $200 rather then $100. So if you got yours for $249, it was a mistake, not the status-quo.)

😁 I am definitely going to wait a couple of months for the treo 610 "ace", apparently due out in October. The main changes that I like are the 320x320 pixel high resolution screen, the mega pixel camera, and the slightly smaller size. Who else is gonna wait for it?

Ditto.

I have a 5 yr old Visor Deluxe PDA and 4 yrs old (taped together) LG 510 cell phone.

I'm lazy and have not carried my PDA with me and this has caused problems with scheduling and stuff. My "fix" is the all-in-one Treo ACE/610/650, but Verizon takes so long to get the new stuff.

I live in the mountains and only ATT and Verizon are worthwhile. Verizon is the better of the 2.

I don't know how much longer my taped together LG phone will last.
